How do Get to the Conference Venue –  Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto

ISEP is located in the main university area of Porto, 10 minutes away from the city centre by subway. Easily accessible by public transportation.

From the Airport:

-by metro

Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport, usually called Porto Airport. is located about 6 miles (11 km) from the city center of Porto. The quickest way to get from the airport to the conference venue – Instituto Superior de Engenharia – (if you do not have any transportation waiting or do not want to take a taxi) is to take the Metro, Line E (purple line) to Trindade station, change to Line D (yellow line), direction Hospital de S. João, and exit at the IPO station, then take a 5-minute walk to the ISEP – address: Rua Dr. António Bernardino de Almeida, 431, 4249-015 Porto. The access to the Station from the interior of the Airport is extremely simple and practical, being fully signaled. You will need to buy an Andante card. You may buy the Blue Andante Card, which is rechargeable and costs €0.60, this card is required for travelling between the Airport Station and Porto city centre is a Z4 title. In the Andante shop located in the arrivals zone of the Airport you can also buy the Andante Tour, an unlimited and intermodal title valid for 1 or 3 days (1 day costs €7 and 3 days costs €15). The journey to the city centre takes about 30 minutes and a single fare is €2 (plus the €0.60 for the Blue Andante Card). Please be aware that you must validate the Andante Card before every boarding. Lack of validation is subject to penalty.

– by bus

STCP operates bus lines between Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and different parts of the city. There are regular bus connections to the city centre (buses 601, 602, 604 and 3M serve the airport). A single fare is also €2 (Buses and Metro share the Andante system).

– by Taxi

Taxis are available 24 hours a day from outside Arrivals. A 20% surcharge is payable at weekends, on public holidays and between 21:00 and 06:00. Taxi service to the Porto centre should cost about €20/30 and take between 20 and 30 minutes. Large size baggage may incur on additional cost (about €2EUR).

– by shuttle

There is a low cost shuttle service between the airport and the Porto hotels. You must book in advance in  100RUMOS , the cost is 6 EUR per person

From a Train Station:

There are two train stations:

Campanhã – Located in the eastern side of Porto, this railway station includes international services, the Alfa Pendular, services between cities and regions, and Regional and Suburban services, which enables the connection to several destinations in the country and abroad. Take a train to Campanhã station in Porto. When you arrive, take the Metro, any line, to Trindade station. Change to line D (yellow), direction Hospital de S. João, and exit at IPO station. Then take 5-minute walk to the ISEP – address: Rua Dr. António

S. Bento – Located in the centre of the city, this railway station includes suburban and regional services, as well as services between regions, which enables the connection to the several destinations in the city.
